For our fourth commemorative magnum, we are featuring the Blackbird Vineyard 2007 Illustration (RP 92). Since their premiere vintage in 2003, Blackbird Vineyard has offered ultra premium Merlot and Cabernet Franc blends of extraordinary quality and finesse. Illustration challenges the notion that Cabernet Sauvignon is the only age-worthy red wine crafted in the Napa Valley.

Our 2010 artist is Jeff Honea, a graduate of and current parent in MBUSD. This year’s original oil on canvas painting is titled “Rising.”  The commemorative magnums are again etched and hand-painted by glass etching artist, Candice Norcross.

The lot also includes a Blackbird Vineyards vertical collection and a certificate for wine tasting and gallery experience for four people at Ma(i)sonry Napa Valley in Yountville. You can admire or acquire art and furnishings that encompass works from 16th century European craftsmen to contemporary artists and designers, all while savoring limited production artisan wines including Blackbird Vineyards.

All proceeds from the sale of this lot, in addition to the 36 2010 Commemorative Endowment Magnums, will go directly to the MBEF Endowment Fund.
