Robert Parker was quoted saying the 2000 California Cabernet vintage is performing well. Upon release, he stated that the vintage needed 3-4 years of cellaring and would age well for a decade.

The Araujo Eisele Vineyard (RP 91, WS 92), in northeast Napa Valley, just east of Calistoga, anchors this collection. The 38-acre Eisele vineyard is one of the most respected Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards in the Napa Valley, equivalent to a premier cru Bordeaux.
